Overview
The Collections Supervisor will report to the Collections Manager and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our collections team. This position is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of collections agents, ensuring efficient and effective collection of outstanding debts, and supporting the team in meeting key performance targets. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-oriented leader with a strong background in collections and a commitment to maintaining a high level of customer service.
We would love to welcome you to our EuroCard office in Crewe, working hours of Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the collections team in handling inbound and outbound collection calls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching and feedback to help team members achieve their targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the collections process and enhance team productivity.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for review by the Collections Manager.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for complex cases, providing solutions and guidance to the team.
- Ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards within the collections team.
- Identify training and development needs within the team and work with the Collections Manager to implement appropriate training programs.
- Collaborate with the Collections Manager to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the collections function.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment within the team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role within a Collections team.
- Strong understanding of collections processes, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in coaching and motivating a team.
- Proven ability to manage performance and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret reports to track team performance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve escalated issues effectively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
