The role of Management/Assistant Accountant within the Radius is a great opportunity to develop your career in finance. You’ll report to the Finance Manager and work closely with the Accounting & Financial Control team, learning how to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including basic profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Helping to produce financial reporting packs and commentary for review by senior finance colleagues.
  • Supporting the team in comparing actual performance to budgets and forecasts, preparing simple variance analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Assisting with year-end processes, including preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Learning how to improve processes and controls, and suggesting ideas for efficiency.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and supporting change.
  • Collaborating with central teams (Group, Tax, Compliance) as needed.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Exam qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with prior experience in a finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and willing to learn new systems.
  • Keen to learn, develop and get stuck into the role.
  • Organised and able to manage tasks and deadlines.
  • Good communicator and team player.
