The role of Associate Test Analyst is important to us. This is a fantastic early‑career opportunity where we provide mentoring and training to help you develop a rewarding career in software testing and development. As part of our dedicated test team you will support software development activities within our Fuel Solutions business, primarily for the Velocity customer‑facing platform. The role is based at our head office in Crewe, Cheshire. It is a modern working environment that encourages in‑person collaboration. You must be able to work from the Crewe office at least 3 days per week. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the delivery of IT projects by completing designated test activities and tasks
- Analyze complex information and write concise, high‑quality test cases
- Provide accurate estimates to complete test activities
- Maintain and execute manual test scripts and regression packs
- Record and track all bugs in JIRA, and manage them through to resolution
- Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress and outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- You’ll be passionate about growing a career in software development. Training will be provided during your first and second year.
- A computer science (or similar) degree, or equivalent IT qualifications
- Good listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong team‑working skills while being able to work independently under supervision
- Good computer literacy skills with demonstrable IT‑related education
- Good analytical and organisational skills
- A demonstrable interest in software development
- Awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodologies is desirable
- Awareness of the Testing discipline (ISTQB Foundation Certification desirable)
