Overview
As a Microsoft New Business Specialist, you drive new-customer acquisition by proactively building a self-sourced pipeline around Microsoft licensing solutions. You engage SMB and Mid-Market decision-makers, conduct discovery and demonstrations, and collaborate with pre-sales and marketing to craft compelling propositions. The role centers on identifying opportunities, closing deals, and contributing to revenue targets through proactive outreach. Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify new opportunities via outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and campaigns
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through ongoing business development
- Engage with senior stakeholders across SMB and Mid-Market to understand challenges and identify opportunities
- Position and sell Microsoft licensing solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, Modern Workplace)
- Conduct discovery meetings, presentations, and demonstrations for prospects
- Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and marketing teams to develop winning propositions
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity
- Meet and exceed revenue targets
- Stay informed on Microsoft licensing programmes, funding, incentives, and market developments
- Note: generate a significant portion of opportunities through self-generated activity
Key requirements
- Minimum 12 months' experience selling Microsoft licensing solutions
- Knowledge of Microsoft licensing including 365 licensing models and commercial programmes
- Proven track record of generating and winning new business
- Experience managing full sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Confident engaging senior decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, resilient, target-driven
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
