Overview

As Lead Data Engineer, you own the design and delivery of scalable data platforms that power decisions across Radius. You will lead hands-on data engineering work while mentoring a growing team and shaping the data strategy within Group Data Services & Reporting. You’ll translate business needs into impactful data solutions and drive an AI/ML-ready data platform architecture. This role sits at the heart of Radius’ data-driven culture, offering meaningful impact at a global scale. You’ll collaborate across units to turn data into measurable business value.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex data pipelines and data models at scale
  • Guide technical direction across data engineering projects
  • Mentor and manage junior engineers, supporting growth and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business needs into data solutions
  • Drive development of the data platform, including AI/ML-ready architecture
  • Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and security

Key requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Data Engineer in complex environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise with modern data engineering tools across cloud platforms
  • Deep understanding of ETL/ELT, data architecture, and data quality frameworks
  • Mentor who enjoys helping others grow
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to shape solutions from ambiguity
