Overview
In this role you will own the Group Cost function, leading end-to-end P&L and balance sheet reporting, forecasting, and business partnering. You will develop and mentor a team, act as a key contact for senior stakeholders, and drive process improvements across finance. You will support the annual budgeting cycle and the 5-year strategic plan while providing independent challenge to costs. This role offers impact across a fast-growing, sustainability‑focused organisation.

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end Group Cost function including P&L and balance sheet production
- Lead and develop a team to deliver high quality performance
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders across central departments
- Maintain robust financial models and monthly rolling forecasts
- Lead annual group costs budgeting process and contribute to the 5-year strategic plan
- Challenge existing finance processes, reporting, and controls
- Provide proactive guidance to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies
- Assist with audits, corporate tax returns and statutory queries
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects aligned with strategic goals
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years in a similar finance role
- Experience in a fast-growing business environment
- Proven ability to enhance business performance through business partnering
- Experience leading a finance team
- Ability to produce board-level quality reporting and analysis
- Commercial acumen with strong technical accounting skills and high attention to detail
- Experience interacting across all levels and challenging non-finance stakeholders
- Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant or equivalent
