Overview

In this role you will own the Group Cost function, leading end-to-end P&L and balance sheet reporting, forecasting, and business partnering. You will develop and mentor a team, act as a key contact for senior stakeholders, and drive process improvements across finance. You will support the annual budgeting cycle and the 5-year strategic plan while providing independent challenge to costs. This role offers impact across a fast-growing, sustainability‑focused organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Group Cost function including P&L and balance sheet production
  • Lead and develop a team to deliver high quality performance
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across central departments
  • Maintain robust financial models and monthly rolling forecasts
  • Lead annual group costs budgeting process and contribute to the 5-year strategic plan
  • Challenge existing finance processes, reporting, and controls
  • Provide proactive guidance to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Assist with audits, corporate tax returns and statutory queries
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects aligned with strategic goals

Key requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar finance role
  • Experience in a fast-growing business environment
  • Proven ability to enhance business performance through business partnering
  • Experience leading a finance team
  • Ability to produce board-level quality reporting and analysis
  • Commercial acumen with strong technical accounting skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience interacting across all levels and challenging non-finance stakeholders
  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant or equivalent
