Overview
In this role you will support the Direct Tax team to strengthen UK corporate tax compliance and advisory work. You will engage with ~40 UK entities and review overseas returns, while gaining exposure to transfer pricing, Pillar 2, and scalable tax processes. You will help shape a modern, efficient tax function within a fast-growing, agile organization. Responsibilities
- Prepare approximately 40 UK corporation tax returns with support from the compliance team
- Lead preparation of computations for the largest group entities for review by the Direct Tax Manager
- Draft computations for statutory accounts, including tax disclosures and deferred tax
- First review of overseas tax returns prepared by outsourced providers
- Calculate corporation tax payments using profit forecasts for each UK entity
- Support corporate interest restriction calculations and assess interest deductibility
- Submit treaty-based tax relief claims to avoid withholding taxes
- Track overseas corporation tax payments with the compliance team
- Handle corporation tax enquiries from tax authorities
- Assist in project work (internal restructures, RDEC claims, capital allowances reviews)
- Assist in preparing and updating UK transfer pricing documentation with cross-functional teams
Key requirements
- ACA/ATT/CTA qualified with corporate tax compliance experience in a group environment
- Structured tax training in Top 6 Accountancy firm
- Knowledge of tax accounting
- Strong Excel skills and system knowledge
- Experience with Alphatax or tax preparation software
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Ability to build rapport with Finance and wider business teams
