The role of an Insurance Sales Specialist is important to us and is pivotal to our growth within the Insurance division. You will be responsible for prospecting, hunting and closing higher‑value insurance deals with Radius clients, building our income in line with group strategy and grasping client acquisition working with all areas of the Radius group. If you're passionate about closing five and six‑figure sales with businesses in all industries, can take control of your own pipeline, want to build sales success and be at the forefront of our growth, we want to talk to you. We would love to welcome you to our Sheffield office. Working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Having meaningful conversations with multiple prospects to understand the nature of the risks that they face so we can align suitable insurance options and our value proposition as a broker.
  • Understand the potentially complex dynamics of a prospect's current or potential insurance supply chain so we can obtain information needed to provide a competitive quote and close a sale.
  • Manage high‑quality leads who are customers of divisions in Radius, to gather the prospect's needs and requirements and obtain insurance quotations for them.
  • You may also do some cold calling to reach additional leads.
  • Manage your sales pipeline and review your performance through the sales cycle.
  • Work with leadership and marketing teams to refine our offer as we evolve our proposition.

Qualifications

  • Great communication skills and the initiative to ask the right questions, think flexibly and develop rapport with key decision makers.
  • Appetite to work towards and to achieve stretching targets and to rise to a challenge.
  • Enthusiasm to develop existing skills and learn about our products and services to add value to your conversations.
  • Focus and attention to detail, as you will be managing your own pipeline, obtaining accurate information from clients and proposing the best solution to prospects.
  • A desire to succeed – to hit financial targets and to win.
  • Understanding of fleet and/or commercial insurance.
  • Previous field sales experience would be beneficial.
