The role of Business Development Manager is really important to us. This role is focused on growing our customer base in the construction sector. You will be responsible for attracting and converting new customers, dealing with incoming referrals, whilst maintaining and cultivating the existing customer base at VUE. You will be instrumental in increasing the sales and profits and responsible for generating your own contribution to the overall sales target. You will research industry trends and use your insight to identify business opportunities in new and existing markets. You will monitor customer feedback closely to ensure the business delivers the best products and services. You will also attend business events to learn more about their industry and network with other professionals and potential clients.
Daily Responsibilities
- Mapping the relevant industries and inputting to sales strategy.
- Directly contacting prospects and customers to create new relationships, deal with incoming referrals and manage existing ones.
- Driving the preparation of sales materials alongside the marketing team.
- Ensuring the pipeline remains healthy and that leads are progressing through the stages.
- Negotiating business terms with new and existing clients to successfully meet sales targets.
- Managing CRM system appropriately.
- Training and mentoring the wider sales team members using your own experience and customers on our products, hardware, and software.
- Attending networking opportunities including conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.
