The role of Senior Account Manager is an exciting role that is fundamental in Radius Connect's next path. You will be responsible for the in-life management of some of our largest customers and can grow the existing revenue along the way with cross-selling of wider product sets. This role is field-based, with a requirement to visit one of the offices weekly which are based across the country. The key to success in this role is to spend time in-person with customers, which means attending customer meetings is essential. You will report into the Sales Manager of our Key & Strategic Accounts.

Your responsibilities day to day will be:

  • Strategic Account Leadership
    • Manage a strategic customer base through strong relationship development and in-life account management.
    • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, strengthening and securing long-term partnerships.
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans for our clients, aligned with industry trends and customer priorities.
    • Own senior-level relationships across C-suite stakeholders (CTO, CIO, COO, Compliance).
    • Position the company as a trusted long-term strategic partner rather than a transactional supplier.
  • Commercial & Revenue Growth
    • Drive revenue growth through upsell, cross-sell, and introduction of new telecoms solutions.
    • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Lead contract negotiations and renewals, with a focus on reducing churn.
    • Manage profitability in line with commercial guidelines.
    • Maintain churn within the account base at less than 5%.
  • Client Management & Delivery Excellence
    • Ensure high-quality service delivery in collaboration with customer services, operations, and technical teams.
    • Increase cross-selling and product penetration within the account base.
    • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by consistently exceeding client expectations.
    • Oversee service performance and customer satisfaction metrics in partnership with Client Services.
    • Act as the escalation point for critical issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Industry & Solutions Expertise
    • Maintain a strong understanding of sector challenges, including cybersecurity, any regulatory frameworks, cloud adoption, and infrastructure resiliency.
    • Translate complex business needs into technical solutions across connectivity, mobility, IoT, unified communications, and security.
    • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insight.

  • Deliver a proactive review strategy for all customer base.
  • Deliver a retention strategy to help reduce churn in line with expectations.
  • Demonstrate excellent commercial acumen to help maintain margin and drive gross profitability.
  • Develop strategic relationships with all clients assigned, and build relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide accurate business reporting in line with Line Manager guidelines and timeframes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with a proven track record in managing and growing strategic accounts within telecoms and IT.
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contract negotiation and revenue growth.
  • Deep knowledge of telecoms/IT solutions, including cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and emerging technologies (5G, IoT, SaaS).
  • Proven ability in strategic account planning and execution for large enterprise clients.
  • Familiarity with UK telecom regulations, GDPR, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to strategy.
