We’ve been helping businesses grow for 36 years. When Radius started in 1990, we ran a successful SME fuel business in North West England. Today we are a global business services company running in 19 countries across five continents. Our mission is to help companies of all sizes adapt to market changes and take advantage of the opportunities they bring.
The role of an Insurance Sales Specialist is important to us and is pivotal to our growth within the Insurance division. You will be responsible for prospecting, hunting and closing higher-value insurance deals with Radius clients, building our income in line with group strategy and grasping client acquisition working with all areas of the Radius group.
Your responsibilities day to day will be:
- Having meaningful conversations with multiple prospects to understand the nature of the risks that they face so we can align suitable insurance options and our value proposition as a broker.
- Understand the potentially complex dynamics of a prospect’s current or potential insurance supply chain so we can obtain information needed to provide a competitive quote and close a sale.
- Manage high-quality leads who are customers of divisions in Radius, to gather the prospect’s needs and requirements and obtain insurance quotations for them. You may also do some cold calling to reach additional leads.
- Manage your sales pipeline and review your performance through the sales cycle.
- Work with leadership and marketing teams to refine our offer as we evolve our proposition.
We focus on fleet insurance but your ability to cross-sell additional commercial insurance policies will be key to achieving the targeted mix of products.
What do we expect of you?
- Great communication skills and the initiative (and ability!) to ask the right questions, think flexibly and develop rapport with key decision makers.
- Appetite to work towards and to achieve stretching targets and to rise to a challenge.
- Enthusiasm to develop existing skills and learn about our products and services to add value to your conversations.
- Focus and attention to detail, as you will be managing your own pipeline, obtaining accurate information from clients and proposing the best solution to prospects.
- A desire to succeed – to hit financial targets and to win.
Qualifications
- You need to have an understanding of fleet and/or commercial insurance.
- Previous field sales experience would be beneficial to your success in the role.
What can you expect of us?
- A friendly culture that mirrors our proposition to our customers.
- A fast-growing organisation that defines itself as being agile and innovative.
- A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one.
- A commitment to building a working environment that values inclusivity, innovation, agility, and drive.
- Friendly and supportive team, working in a spacious modern office.
Your impact on Radius will be rewarded with a competitive rewards package plus the opportunity to develop and progress your career in many directions. Not only will you have the chance to further your career development within Radius, but you’ll also have access to our competitive reward and benefits package.
