What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide day-to-day people advice and coaching to managers and employees across the Radius Group.
  • Manage a varied caseload covering absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing, and employee queries.
  • Support managers with long-term absence cases, including welfare meetings, occupational health referrals, return-to-work planning, and capability processes.
  • Advise on family-friendly policies including maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
  • Own your caseload, delivering a high-quality, timely service and escalating complex matters when required.
  • Attend formal people meetings as a representative and note-taker.
  • Maintain accurate people data in our HR systems and champion data quality across People Services.
  • Review and improve people policies, processes, and documentation to ensure best practice and legal compliance.
  • Support and coach People Associates, acting as a point of escalation and sharing knowledge to build capability across the team.
  • Contribute to wider People projects such as engagement surveys, Investors in People, and initiatives aligned to our People strategy.

Job Description

Location: Crewe Headquarters (office-based, 5 days per week) Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

As a People Advisor, you will be a key part of our People Operations team, supporting managers and colleagues across the business with practical, commercial, and people-focused advice. Reporting to the Head of People Operations & Advisory you will work across the full employee lifecycle, providing guidance, building manager capability, and helping us create a consistent, positive experience for our people in a fast-growing global organisation.

This is a broad, hands-on generalist role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and being close to the business.

Qualifications:

  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law with experience handling a wide range of people matters.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience working in a generalist HR or People Advisor role within a commercial environment.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and a varied workload.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience using HR systems and working with data.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can influence, coach, and build trusted relationships.
  • A collaborative team player who supports the development of others.
  • Accountable, resilient, and solutions-focused when challenges arise.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation.
  • Motivated, energetic, and committed to continuous improvement.
