We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analysis Manager to join our team in Crewe, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making and providing strategic insights to optimize our commercial performance.
- Management of a team of commercial analysts, to lead and improve delivery of reports, projects and implementing continuous improvement.
- Preparation of reforecasts and budget analysis to support business delivery, and regular reporting and analysis to monitor business performance, track key initiatives and progress to budgets and reforecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, profitability, and key performance indicators.
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to present complex data in a clear and actionable format.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of commercial strategies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead ad-hoc technical assignments and analysis projects to address specific business challenges and opportunities.
- Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and insightful.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in commercial analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial analysis or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with Tableau and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business performance.
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of market trends, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
