The role of Commercial Business Partner is really important to us. You will be responsible for all aspects of our Fuel FP&A. Fuel is the largest business unit within Radius and therefore this is a high profile role with growth opportunities for the right candidate. Our Fuel business includes our Electric Vehicle on road services offering which is presently one of our fastest growing offerings within Radius in a rapidly developing market. We would love to welcome you to our new Campus in Crewe, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Your responsibilities day to day will be:

  • Lead person for Fuel annual budgeting and reforecasting processes which will include significant interaction with our senior management team (Chief Revenue Officers, Director of Finance and Commercial teams).
  • Ownership of our monthly and weekly commercial reporting for Fuel primarily focused on Volume, unit margins and other products / other services which together comprise our growth margin.
  • Development and ownership of our Electric Vehicle reporting including both medium term (5-10 years) benefit / impact of the market transition from Internal Combustion Engine to Electric Vehicles and short term / operational reporting of the comparable profitability metrics between traditional Fuel Card customers and EV Card customers (e.g. monthly usage, unit margins and £ gross profit per vehicle). This would include identifying areas and actions for improvement.
  • Reporting on current and future performance of Fuel across our 11 territories to various stakeholders and advising on further improvements or corrective courses of action.
  • Identifying system and process developments alongside our operations and sales teams, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Working with Financial Operations and the Revenue Business Partner, ensuring we have zero leakage during our billing process.
  • Various ad-hoc project work. Projects relating to reporting improvements (accuracy, visibility or distribution methodology e.g. Tableau), wider commercial projects and potential new territories/ acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to undertake a range of financial and business modelling tasks.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a similar commercial related role.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise and keep to deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear understanding of the drivers of actual weekly and monthly results compared to forecast/budget and prior year.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering measurable business results and driving continuous improvement.
  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant or equivalent (preferred), qualified through experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up.
  • Track record of delivering process improvements and harbouring a continuous improvement methodology.
