The role of Account Director is an exciting new role that is fundamental in Radius Connect's next path. You will be responsible for the in-life management of some of our largest customers and have the opportunity to grow this vertical along the way. This role is field-based, with a requirement to visit one of the offices weekly which are based across the country. The key to success in this role is to spend time in-person with customers, which means attending customer meetings is essential. You will report into our Director of Account Management.
Strategic Account Leadership Responsibilities
- Manage a strategic customer base through strong relationship development and in-life account management.
- Identifying new opportunities within existing accounts, securing long-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for Financial Services clients, aligned with industry trends and customer priorities.
- Positioning the Company as a trusted long-term partner.
- Own senior-level relationships across C-suite stakeholders (CTO, CIO, COO, Compliance).
- Drive revenue growth through upsell, cross-sell, and introduction of new telecoms solutions.
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within existing accounts, leading contract negotiations and renewals.
- Manage profitability in line with commercial guidelines and maintain churn within the account base at less than 5%.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery in collaboration with customer services, operations, and technical teams.
- Increase cross-selling and product penetration within the account base.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by consistently exceeding client expectations.
- Oversee service performance and customer satisfaction metrics in partnership with Client Services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Maintain a strong understanding of Financial Services sector challenges, including cybersecurity, regulatory frameworks (FCA, MiFiD, DORA), cloud adoption, and infrastructure resiliency.
- Translate complex business needs into technical solutions across connectivity, mobility, IoT, unified communications, and security.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insight.
- Strong ability to engage at senior stakeholder level and navigate organisational structures.
- A proven track record in managing and growing strategic accounts within telecoms and IT.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contract negotiation and revenue growth.
- Deep knowledge of telecoms/IT solutions, including cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and emerging technologies (5G, IoT, SaaS).
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C-suite executives.
- Familiarity with UK telecoms regulations, GDPR, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to strategy.
- Adaptable and resilient, thriving in fast-paced, evolving technology environments.
- Strategic mindset with a consultative, value-driven approach.
