The predicted salary is between 34434 - 39152 £ per year.

The Communities Officer will provide support and advocacy for communities, based on their specific needs, maximising their potential for growth in a shared and inclusive manner, and to act as a representative for the Association.

Salary: £34,434 (SP23) - £39,152 (SP28) per annum

Location: Holywood or Derry/Londonderry

The role is fixed term for a period of 2 years. This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid / smart working.

To be shortlisted candidates need to provide evidence of the following as a minimum:

  • Level six qualification (e.g. Bachelor's Degree, Graduate diploma) or above in a relevant discipline and 2 years experience working in community development. OR 5 years recent experience working in community development or housing setting.
  • Experience in monitoring, managing and reporting on budgets in accordance with policies, procedures and external funding requirements.
  • Experience of supporting communities to deliver community plans and/or events.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of best practice in community development and empowerment.
  • A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport.
