The Development Manager will assist the Director to ensure the Association builds houses of all tenure to the highest possible standard providing efficient solutions for a range of housing needs with the focus on Audit and Compliance.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Holywood and elsewhere as needed

Salary: £46,142 (SP35) - £56,730 (SP45) per annum

Radius Housing provides quality and affordable social housing in over 80 towns and cities throughout Northern Ireland. We provide a range of services from sheltered housing for the over 55s and general needs housing for families and single people, as well as specialist care and support facilities for the frail, elderly, people with dementia and learning disabilities and other complex needs. We are one of the major developers of homes in Northern Ireland and build and release around 400 homes every year, both properties for rent, and for private sale. We incorporate design of community spaces that are designed to impact positively on residents and to support healthier lifestyles and create significant employment within the Northern Ireland construction sector. Who we are looking for

We are now looking for a Development Manager who will operationally manage and have responsibility for the effective delivery of the development programme to ensure projects are achieved within time and budget and in accordance with the Corporate and Business Plan whilst ensuring procedures and audit requirements are fully met.

To be shortlisted candidates need to provide evidence of the following as a minimum:

  • Level six qualification (e.g. bachelor's degree) or above and 3 years experience within the last 8 years OR 5 years relevant experience within the last 8 years (as a key development person, preferably with a HA, NIHE, local authority, HSC Trust, Developer or similar)
  • Project management experience with ability to meet targets.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of all aspects of property development including complexities.
  • Computer literate with experience of spreadsheets, constructing budgets and cost forecasts.
  • Demonstrable communication and presentation skills with the ability to read drawings and appraise and comment on same.
  • A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport (where an applicant indicates that a disability prohibits them from driving, this criterion will be waived at the shortlisting stage. In such circumstances, consideration will be given in any subsequent offer of appointment to suitable alternative arrangements that the candidate may be able to put in place that would enable them to meet the travel requirements for the post).
