Radius Housing is proud to announce the launch of Radius Direct Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary established to enhance and supplement our current property maintenance operations.

Radius Direct has been created to support the delivery of essential services including servicing, planned maintenance, minor works, and repairs. The formation of this new company represents a proactive investment in improving service delivery, ensuring we can respond effectively to the growing demands of our sector and the expectations of our tenants.

Given the current housing pressures across our communities, Radius Direct will have a strong focus on void property relets, helping to minimise turnaround times and bring vacant homes back into use more efficiently. Additionally, Radius Direct will be central in delivering a range of compliance‑related services, ensuring that Radius Housing continues to meet and exceed its statutory and regulatory responsibilities in an ever‑evolving housing environment.

At the heart of Radius Direct will be a dedicated expert team of multi‑trade operatives who will work alongside our existing staff and external contractors. This team will provide a responsive and integrated maintenance service, combining in‑house expertise with trusted partnerships to ensure high‑quality outcomes for our tenants.

The introduction of Radius Direct reflects Radius Housing’s commitment to enhancing service standards, increasing operational flexibility, and reinforcing our focus on tenant wellbeing. By bringing additional capacity in‑house, we aim to deliver a service that is not only efficient and compliant but also proactive and community‑centred.

Electrician

Salary: Competitive

Location: Belfast based with occasional travel within Northern Ireland

Carrying out electrical repairs, testing, installations, and maintenance works in occupied, void, and communal social housing properties. Ensuring all work is carried out to current wiring regulations, safety standards, and in line with agreed service levels and timescales.

Shortlisting Criteria:

  1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  2. Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  3. City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
  4. Experience working in domestic properties, preferably within the social housing sector.
  5. Ability to work independently to diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
  6. Good knowledge of health & safety, safe isolation, and risk assessment practices.
  7. Excellent communication skills and customer‑focused approach.

Testing & Inspection Electrician

Reference: FHA04335

Salary: Competitive

Location: Belfast based with occasional travel within Northern Ireland

The Testing and Inspection Electrician is responsible for carrying out electrical testing, inspection, and certification of domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical installations in accordance with current regulations. The role ensures electrical safety, compliance, and quality of work undertaken across the Radius Housing portfolio.

Shortlisting Criteria:

  1. Qualified Electrician with City & Guilds 2365 / 2330 or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) City & Guilds, or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification.
  2. In‑depth knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
  3. Experience carrying out EICRs and remedial works.
  4. Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
  5. Full Current UK driving licence *
  6. Good communication and IT skills.
