About the Role:
As a Healthcare Assistant for R-Connect, you will be deployed to complete temporary assignments across various aged care facilities in New Zealand. You will gain a broad range of experience and deliver quality care to residents.
As this is a casual role, you will be prompted when a temp vacancy is available, and you will only need to accept this when you are available.
Some Duties include but not limited to:
- Report to the charge nurse and complete delegated tasks in a timely manner
- Residents’ personal care tasks i.e. hygiene, grooming, toileting
- Including mobilising, shaving, brushing of teeth and hair
- Maintain documents in resident healthcare records
Skills and Experience
- You need to be a New Zealand Citizen/Resident or have open work visa conditions
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and wellbeing level 3 or 4 preferred
- Aged care experience required
- People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
