A rare opportunity has arisen to lead one of Glasgow's most exciting new hospitality and events destinations. We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead The Rotunda, a beautifully restored listed building that blends Glasgow's rich maritime heritage with contemporary design to create a truly unique venue for weddings, live music, and premium events.

Located in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant waterfront and overlooking the iconic SEC, OVO Hydro, and Finnieston Crane, The Rotunda will become a landmark destination for celebrations, entertainment and unforgettable guest experiences.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for launching and leading this exciting new venue, overseeing all aspects of operations, guest experience, commercial performance and team leadership. You will play a pivotal role in establishing The Rotunda as a leading destination for weddings, events, and live entertainment in Glasgow.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the successful launch and ongoing operation of the venue
  • Building and developing a high-performing hospitality and events team
  • Driving commercial performance across weddings, private events, conferences and entertainment programming
  • Creating an exceptional guest experience that positions The Rotunda as a premier events destination
  • Developing strong relationships with wedding planners, event organisers, promoters and local partners
  • Managing budgets, financial performance and operational excellence
  • Ensuring the venue delivers outstanding service standards, creativity and energy

About You

We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial hospitality leader who thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced events environment. You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior hospitality leader
  • Strong background in events, weddings, or large-scale hospitality venues
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue and profitability
  • Experience opening or launching venues would be highly advantageous
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Passion for guest experience, entertainment and hospitality innovation
  • Strong local knowledge and connections within Glasgow's hospitality and events scene
