Radisson Blu, Bloomsbury Street is a boutique neighbourhood hotel where the area's literary past meets contemporary design. Set moments from the British Museum, Covent Garden, and Tottenham Court Road station, the hotel's mid-century panelled design kindles the feeling of a modern London townhouse. We are currently looking for a Food & Beverage Host/Hostess to join our Truly Talented team.
As Host/Hostess, you will play a key role in our restaurant and build great relationships with our customers. You’ll have a good understanding of restaurant operations, a real passion for customer care, food and drink and a strong knowledge of wines, beers and spirits. Your role:
As an F&B Host/Hostess, you will be the face of our business, greeting and welcoming our guests. Your passion for people will be applied to the role to create a memorable experience. You will be a host in the true sense of the word, working hard to create an engaging atmosphere exceeding our guests’ expectations.
Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Host/Hostess will include but are not limited to:
- Welcome guests to the restaurant
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Manage reservations
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Coordinate with F&B team about available seating options
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)
- Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
- Assist F&B team as needed
The ideal person for this role will be:
- Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry
- Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential
- Excellent personal presentation
- Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach
