We are looking for a proactive, detail-orientated, and service-drivenMeetings & Events Operations Assistantto support the successful delivery of high-quality events. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up event spaces, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience during conferences, meetings, and banquets.

Your role
As a Meetings & Events Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring event spaces are prepared to the highest standard, supporting food and beverage service, and assisting in all aspects of event service.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Setting up and breaking down event spaces according to client needs and hotel standards.
- Assisting with food and beverage service during conferences, banquets, and special events.
- Ensuring tables, buffets, and service areas are well-presented and maintained throughout events.
- Providing attentive and friendly service to guests, responding to their needs effeciently.
- Coordinating with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service.
- Clearing tables and resetting spaces for upcoming functions.
- Upholding health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all food and beverage handling.
- Assisting with any additional event duties as required by the banqueting team.
The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.
The core skills and experience required to succeed:
- Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry
- Previous conference and banqueting experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
- Excellent personal presentation;
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
- Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
- To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
