Are you an outgoing creative individual wanting to give back to your local community? Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a part-time Activity Coordinator to join our team based in Redditch at Dorothy Terry House.
As an Activities Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the residents stay connected to the local community and be a part of the community at Dorothy Terry House. This can include:
- Collecting regular feedback from Residents on the types of activities they would like to see at Dorothy Terry House
- Arranging a regular activity programme and supporting with the delivery of the activities
- Supporting and leading small fundraisers to help pay towards activities and outside entertainment
- Building local connections with outside organisations, charities and community groups
- Liaising with community volunteers who want to help and support with the running of activities at Dorothy Terry House
We are looking for someone who is organised and outgoing in character to help drive engagement with activities/events. The role is 20 hours per week and will include working alternate weekends.
Dorothy Terry House in Redditch was formerly a Victorian mansion house which has been completely redeveloped. It now offers 42 modern and highly specified one and two bedroom apartments. Residents enjoy a range of on-site services, including a lounge, restaurant, hairdressing salon, library and regular activities, groups and classes. Providing support to those 55+ and above with a range of different health conditions; however, Dorothy Terry House particularly specialises in supporting those who live with Dementia.
