Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant/ Team Leader to join our team based in Fern Meadows in Faringdon
Fern Meadows is set in the town of Faringdon, surrounded by beautiful greenery, Fern Meadows is an Extra Care development comprising 60 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Clients get to enjoy the privacy of their own stylish home, they will also have the choice to enjoy the facilities at the scheme. This includes our communal lounge, hair salon, restaurant, activity room, buggy store, guest room, and landscaped gardens.
About the role
As a Team Leader you will provide support to our extra care complex, providing specialised support to individuals. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.
You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions / meetings and support to the Care Workers. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Care Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.
You will also be required participate in the on‑call rota and provide cover for care and Radis’ housing related support duties when emergency cover is required.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role
Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal commination skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations.
This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
