Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Support Worker for our Supported Living Service, in Halifax.

About the role

The lady we support is in her 40s and has a physical disability requiring support with personal care and meal preparation. Due to this, we are seeking a mature female support worker to assist her with daily skills.

This lady enjoys being out in the community and attending activities such as swimming, Pilates, and shopping. She has a great sense of humour and is looking for a support worker to share these enjoyable experiences with.

A full driving licence is required to support her and to drive her automatic car.

The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting social connections, community access, and attending appointments. We support daily living skills and socialisation, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.

Shifts: 10am-4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am-2pm on Sundays, with additional hours as needed.

Note: Currently, we are unable to consider sponsorship for this role.

Ideally, candidates will have a qualification in health and social care or relevant experience in supported living settings or with individuals with learning disabilities, though this is not essential.
