Radis Community Care have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team based in Cheltenham at Middleton House. Middleton House is one of our Extra Care Schemes, which has 49 one and two bedroom apartments designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible.
About the role
As a Team Leader you will provide support to our extra care complex, providing specialised support to individuals. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.
Shifts include: 7am-3pm, 3pm-10pm, and 8am-4pm (including alternate weekends).
You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions / meetings and support to the Care Workers. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Care Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.
You will also be required to participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for care and Radis' housing related support duties when emergency cover is required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role
Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations. This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check. A driving licence with access to a vehicle will also be advantageous as some travel may be required for the role.
