Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Floating Support Worker for our Outreach Supported Living Services in their own homes in the Huddersfield, Kirklees and Bradford.
Responsibilities
- Support people with Learning Disabilities (both males and females) in their own homes with daily living skills.
- Provide support for daily living skills and help with socialisation; promote independence, choice, dignity and respect.
- Include tasks such as manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, and helping individuals stay connected with family and friends, accessing the community, and attending appointments.
- Deliver the best standards of support in a person-centred, individualized manner.
- Support may involve working in the individuals’ own homes and communities as part of Outreach Supported Living Services.
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence with business insurance is needed to support individuals in their daily lives.
- Shifts vary, including alternate weekends.
- Ideally a qualification in health and social care, but this is not essential; experience in supported living settings and/or with individuals with Learning Disabilities is acceptable.
- At present, we are unable to consider sponsorship for this role.
