Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Social Care Training Officer to join the team supporting our Services in the South. This position will be mainly home-based, however, travel and overnight stays will be required where necessary. Ideally, the successful candidate would be based within the Hampshire area.
About the role
As a Social Care Training Officer, you will be organising and delivering in-house training through face-to-face or via virtual platform methods such as MS Teams, to meet the Branch and Business workforce development plans. You will be communicating at all levels, to ensure training needs are responded to and met within appropriate time-scales throughout your region. This will cover all aspects of Care to meet the Care Certificate standards, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, documentation, medication, and moving and handling in the care sector.
You will support in the development of new training programmes that meet the Business objectives of comprehensive in-house training provisions and support in the improvement of existing training programmes as part of our continuous improvement philosophy. The Training Officer will also have the responsibility to maintain records of training delivery and participate in meetings as part of a team approach.
The Training Officer will have the opportunity to undertake continuous professional development to improve performance in fulfilling this role and meeting the Business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role
Applicants for this position would benefit from holding a qualification in Learning & Development, and/or a PTTLS / CTTLS or DTTLS teacher training/Level 3 qualification. However, if you do not hold any of these qualifications, but you have experience in training delivery in the care sector, we will work with you to obtain your Level 3 qualification, as this is a minimum requirement for the Training Officer role.
The successful candidate will have experience in training staff in care, organisation and administrative skills, and demonstrate confidence in IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You will have good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle as travel is required for the role, including occasional overnight stays, as well as occasional travel to other regions when required; however, this role will be mainly home-based. Ideally, the successful candidate would be based within or around the Basingstoke/Andover area(s), however, other geographical areas close to the A303 corridor will be considered.
