About the role

Radis Community Care is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join a small, person-centred team supporting a young gentleman in the WR5 area of Worcester.

About the individual you’ll be supporting

You will be supporting a 25 year old gentleman with learning and physical disabilities. He enjoys watching films and television, and benefits from a calm supportive, and familiar routine.

Shift pattern

  • Tuesday & Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Additional hours may become available in the future.
  • Occasional weekends and overnight stays (ad hoc)
  • You may also pick up extra shifts if you wish within our services in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Providing companionship and support with daily activities
  • Assisting with outings and engaging activities
  • Light support with personal care if required
  • Preparing drinks and meals (usually prepared by family in advance)
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
  • Working closely with family members to maintain consistency of care

What we are looking for

  • Experience in care is helpful but not essential – full training is provided
  • Ability to work as a part of a small team
