Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team based in Parsons Gardens in Broadway WR12.
Shift times:
- Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings 2.30-10.00pm
- Week 2: Thursday, Friday evenings 2.30-10pm
- Occasional morning shifts available too which are 7am-10am
- Other shift times: 7am-10am, 7am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-10pm, 10pm-7am and alternate weekends
Parsons Gardens in Broadway, Worcestershire provides 50 apartments and bungalows for over 55s, offering residents the privacy and independence of their own home, but with the peace of mind that there is a care team available on site 24 hours a day.
Each home has been built to a high standard, fully wheelchair accessible with level access shower rooms and modern fully fitted kitchens. The development has many communal areas and facilities including comfortable resident lounges, assisted bathroom, a guest suite, gym and activity room, cinema room, salon and a café. Some of the communal facilities, including the café, are open to residents of the surrounding area helping make Parsons Gardens the heart of the community.
Our carers strive to help residents to retain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible. Care is tailored to the needs of each person, provided within the comfort and privacy of their own apartment and can range from a little help daily to support throughout the day and night time.
The role will require you to assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.
The role involves aiding residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.
The role is to promote residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
