About the role
As a Waking Nights Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, you will be supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You’ll help residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities, and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request. You’ll help them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, and dressing – this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being a part of the recreational and social activities with residents, and as a group. And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!
Pay Rates:
- £13.60 nights working on alternate weekends as part of rota
- Full time hours available
- Free uniform and PPE
- Excellent career progression

- Full Out of Hours support
- Full training, working towards Care Certificate, Dementia, End of life and other training courses
- In-depth online & Office based training
- Mileage Allowance for Cars & Bikes
- Paid Shadowing in the field
- You get paid by BACS every 4 weeks
- Nat West Cushon Pension
- Refer a friend payment (Unlimited Payments) Subject to conditions
- We will pay for mandatory refresher training
- There are also some 'Sleeping Nights' opportunities available - details of how these are scheduled and paid can be discussed
