Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant/ Team Leader to join our team based in Fern Meadows in Faringdon. Fern Meadows is set in the town of Faringdon, surrounded by beautiful greenery, and comprises 60 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Clients get to enjoy the privacy of their own stylish home, with the choice to enjoy the facilities at the scheme, including our communal lounge, hair salon, restaurant, activity room, buggy store, guest room, and landscaped gardens.
About the role
As a Team Leader, you will provide support to our extra care complex, offering specialised support to individuals. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a unique service tailored to their specific needs, ensuring a consistent approach throughout their life. You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions, meetings, and support to the Care Workers. The role will require you to schedule and allocate work to the Care Workers, ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks, and offer support within the community. Additionally, you will be required to participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for care and Radis’ housing-related support duties when emergency cover is required.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role
- Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential.
- The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3.
- You will have good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients' needs and expectations.
- This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
