Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Team Leader in our Broadstreet Supported Living Service in Coventry. The Supported Living service supports 19 males and females with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning Disabilities in their own apartment. We provide support for daily living skills and help support with socialisation, providing specialised person centred support. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.
The role involves providing support to our Supported Living Services, overseeing the smooth running of these services, completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, updating and reviewing support plans, and working to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes. You will schedule and allocate work to the Support Workers, support with medication, personal care tasks, and cover shifts within the services. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community, and attending appointments; therefore, a driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism, and mental health issues is essential.
- Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential.
- The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3.
- You will have good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients' needs and expectations.
- A driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
