At SPX Radiodetection, we're looking for a Senior Buyer to work alongside our engineering teams, leading procurement activities for new product development while driving cost reduction, supplier performance and continuous improvement. This is a highly collaborative, project-based role where you'll influence sourcing decisions from concept through to production and play a key part in delivering innovative products.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead procurement activities for NPI projects.
- Partner closely with Engineering to support product development and engineering change.
- Manage large RFQ packages and supplier selection.
- Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop sourcing strategies and identify new suppliers.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage supplier performance, quality, delivery and risk.
- Travel to suppliers and other SPX sites as required.
