Overview
This role requires the ability to travel between service users; therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Please note that we ARE NOT ABLE to offer Tier 2 visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day support to adults with mental health, physical and learning difficulties whilst respecting the individuals' preferences and choices.
- You will be the key to their wellbeing, working with them to ensure they can manage their mental health along with regaining the skills needed to maintain day to day living and engaging within the community.
- You will be required to work flexibly across the service and will require the use of a vehicle.
- Individuals may require support with daily living skills or tasks such as appointments, money management help and support around cooking skills; you will help encourage and support them to re-learn skills.
What you'll need to succeed
- This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has an interest in mental health and is looking to continue their career in adult social care ideally from a social work or psychology background.
- The ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent service to vulnerable adults in a dignified manner and have the confidence to interact with individuals with patience and compassion.
- You will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
