Description
Radio News Hub is looking for a Head of News to lead our talented team of Journalists from our new state of the art studios in Leeds City Centre.
You will be joining an ambitious company that embraces creativity.
You’ll have at least five years of experience in a radio newsroom.
You’ll have fantastic people skills and be ready to lead our growing team, working closely with our Senior Journalists and Head of Programming.
You’ll be a great decision maker with the ability to work under pressure and have a clear understanding that this role isn’t always 9-5!
You’ll understand what content is required in hourly bulletins received by more than 400 radio stations – and help pass that knowledge onto our team.
You’ll have bundles of energy and enthusiasm and have a clear plan to lead and develop our newsroom team – while developing and maintaining relationships across our business.
You’ll be able to demonstrate you have the legal right to work in the UK, as well as holding a full UK driving licence.
In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary, negotiated dependent on experience. We also offer a bonus scheme, generous holiday entitlement, company pension, and provide you with discounted savings at many High Street stores in the UK.
