We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and driven Registered Manager to lead our new children's residential care home. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support for vulnerable children and young people aged 8–17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
As the Registered Manager, you will be Ofsted-registered and play a vital role in setting the home’s culture, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team to deliver outstanding care and support.
- Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and achieves a minimum “Good” rating.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for children.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes.
- Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and operational procedures.
- Liaise with local authorities, schools, and health professionals.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role within a children’s residential setting.
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation: Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
