We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Ecologist to join our team on a 6+ month contract, working across York, Leeds, Newcastle or Doncaster on a hybrid basis.
- Conduct ecological and habitat surveys, assessing species diversity, distribution and behaviour.
- Apply taxonomy, sampling strategies and habitat survey techniques.
- Analyse ecological data and use maps, aerial photography and specialist software.
- Support habitat management/creation, Environmental Impact Assessments and technical reporting.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and keep up to date with environmental legislation and policy.
You will be an experienced ecologist who can hit the ground running, influence across disciplines, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and deliver high-quality ecological assessments and recommendations.
