Senior Ecologist | 6+ Months | Hybrid 📍 Location: York / Leeds / Newcastle / Doncaster – Hybrid 📅 Duration: 6+ Months 💼 Contract: Senior Ecologist We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Ecologist to join our team on a 6+ month contract, working across York, Leeds, Newcastle or Doncaster on a hybrid basis.
Key
Responsibilities: Conduct ecological and habitat surveys, assessing species diversity, distribution and behaviour.
Apply taxonomy, sampling strategies and habitat survey techniques.
Analyse ecological data and use maps, aerial photography and specialist software.
Support habitat management/creation, Environmental Impact Assessments and technical reporting.
Provide ecological advice and recommendations while working with senior management, engineers, planners and site teams.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and keep up to date with environmental legislation and policy.
