About the Role
The Logistic Operator will process and coordinate deliveries; ensure production needs are met throughout BFS (Blow Fill Seal) and PFS (Pre-filled syringe) by picking/replenishing components and product in a timely manner and plan/prepare goods inwards/outward movements to meet operational and customer needs and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the efficient running of the warehouse conveyor system, clearing any basic blockages and recording discrepancies using the relevant ADR’s and log books.
Key Responsibilities
- Process goods inward transactions, deliveries, and documentation.
- Pick, replenish, load, and store components/products to meet production plans.
- Ensure timely and accurate despatch of finished goods.
- Perform SAP stock transactions, cycle counting, and discrepancy investigations.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (conveyor systems, racking checks, opt fleet/PUI).
- Support continuous improvements, quality investigations (QIR/CAPA), and compliance activities.
- Promote a strong site safety culture, waste management, and hygiene standards.
- Provide training/mentoring to colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience
- Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment (although not essential).
- FLT license is essential.
- Ideally competent in SAP processing.
- Experience working in a regulated industry desirable (i.e. Pharma, Food, Aerospace).
- Communicator/motivator/team player.
- Able to deliver high performance standards.
- High Attention to detail required.
- General computer skills, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
Knowledge
- Technical and problem-solving aptitude that can be applied to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical warehousing or cold chain logistics in a suitable environment (e.g. food).
Skills
- Good communicator, self-starter and team player with the ability to set and deliver high performance standards for self and team members, relating to Customer service, Quality, Safety and Cost.
- Good problem-solving skills, workshop skills.
- Ability to diagnose and rectify faults.
- Aptitude for data collection and analysis.
Qualifications
Level 3 qualification (NVQ L3, BTEC National, ONC, or C&G L3) in Logistics, Engineering, or a Scientific field.
