The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Location: Hybrid- 3 days/week on site (Culham, Oxfordshire OX14 3DB)

Duration: 9 Months

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for supporting design work on major fusion sub-systems, from concept through to detailed design on enhancement programs for facilities as well as for future fusion devices.
  • Accountable for design aspects relating to all assigned systems/components including repair, replacement or upgrade activities.
  • Develop and effectively implement systems for managing design requirements and interfaces, and processes for ensuring satisfactory performance/compliance, and ensure these are adopted by design teams.
  • Ensure that detail designs are appropriately validated, working with engineering technicians/analysts/suppliers as necessary, and ensure appropriate adherence to design standards.
  • The designs are compliant with the methods of manufacture/assembly/maintenance.
  • Deliver projects to the satisfaction of the Customer (internal or external) within the imposed constraints.
  • Produce technical reports, departmental notes and procedures where appropriate.
  • Complete/Supervise the design including the generation of technical documentation e.g. electrical drawings.
