Hands on and high impact during a period of transformational change to the IFP business. The focus is on owning work, driving outcomes and producing exceptional documentation across complex people matters.
Partnering with TBPs and Team Leaders, these roles will provide practical, well-judged support on change management, performance, and other people processes as well as supporting the UK HR team to deliver the IFP People Plan for the UKI ABU (Accountable Business Unit). These roles are not administrative and task taking. The role supporting the UK HRD will also provide support to the UK employee relations team.
TBP Support activities- Deliver key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum including workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent management, pay and reward, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.
- The role holder must be able to easily understand and champion the relevant global/regional processes and programmes designed to accelerate KC culture and performance.
- Work closely with Managers and the Talent Acquisition Manager regarding workforce planning and the development of resource plans.
- Develop and maintain good relations with recognised trade unions.
- Support critical change management processes impacting our employees.
- Provide support to the TBPs to enable them to operate effectively and at pace.
- Take ownership of actions and follow-through, ensuring work does not stall.
- Step in confidently to progress work where clarity, structure or momentum is needed.
- Support the ER team with employee relations cases such as disciplinaries, grievances and performance concerns.
- Partner with appointed Team Leaders to enable them to execute employee relations cases ensuring compliance with internal client policies and UK legislation.
- Produce clear, confident and well-structured written outputs, including case summaries, investigation reports, outcome letters and briefing notes for senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex issues into plain English without losing rigor or accuracy.
Experienced HRBP who is highly capable in being an equal partner to the business with strong influencing, communication, networking and analytical skills to support leaders in engaging and enabling their teams to high performance.
3 years in a HRBP partner role. CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent experience. Previous experience working in HR at an FMCG, matrix organisation, or have equivalent relevant experience from similar industries. Previous experience of working with blue collar and white-collar employee groups in a unionised environment. Experience of partnering strongly with senior leaders. Experience of working with a HRIS (HR Information System), preferably Workday.
Exceptional influencing skills and interpersonal sensitivity that will foster effective cross-cultural and geographical partnerships. Strong ER experience in the UK, with a solid working knowledge of UK employment law and confidence handling complex cases. Proven experience of providing a high level of administrative support including note taking, report drafting and letter writing to a high standard. Knowledge of UK employment legislation is essential. Knowledge of talent attraction and talent management best practices.
Highly organised, structured with excellent attention to detail. Team player, and working as part of a broader HR function. Proactive and flexible approach and ability to manage multiple, demanding priorities. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with a wide range of leaders, line managers and HR team members. Proven ability to become a trusted advisor including the ability to push back, challenge and present alternative viewpoints. High proficiency in administrative skills and ability to accurately record meeting notes, write detailed letters and create documents presentable to internal and external stakeholders. A clear sense of ownership.
