About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Trainee
Paraplanner to join our growing team at Radiant Financial Planning Limited. In this key role, you’ll be part of the servicing hub at Radiant, dealing predominately with servicing cases. You will write suitability reports to support planners, ensuring exceptional client service, technical accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all advice provided.
Key Responsibilities
Paraplanning & Client Support
- Prepare and maintain client files and client reviews.
- Prepare recommendations and suitability reports
– basic suitability reports for withdrawals, top ups, switches, ‘Bed to ISA’ etc. - Identify areas for planning (produce a pre review summary if required)
- Fund Analysis
- Obtain illustration, application forms, KFD and other supporting information.
- Tax calculations
- Deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties.
- Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers (ifapplicable)
- Oversee implementation of recommendations, completion of application forms and ensure all compliance is in order.
Mifid:
- Gather Information required forMifid.
- CompleteMifidSpreadsheets and letters
Consumer Duty Responsibilities
You will be expected to embed the four key pillars of Consumer Duty into your day-to-day work:
- Consumer Understanding – Ensuring clients have the right information at the right time
- Price and Value – Ensuring the recommendations deliver fair value
- Product and Services – Ensuring suitability and appropriate outcomes
- Consumer Support – Ensuring service is responsive, accessible, and effective
What We’re Looking For
Knowledge & Expertise
- Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
- Good technical knowledge in a wide range of product areas – pensions, investments, IHT planning, tax planning, protection.
- Excellent suitability report writing skills.
- Keep up to date with new product, technical and legislative changes within the marketplace.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience working in financial services
- Must have started your level 4 diploma and have achieved 1-2 passes
- Experience liaising with professional advisers (e.g. solicitors, accountants) is an advantage
