Mortgage & Protection Administrator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Birmingham or Market Harborough (Hybrid)
Salary: £25,000-30,000 depending on experience
About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage & Protection Administrator to join our dynamic Client Delivery team at Radiant Financial Planning. This role plays a vital part in supporting our advisers and ensuring that all mortgage and protection business is managed accurately and efficiently from application through to completion.
You’ll act as a key contact for clients, providers, lenders, and solicitors—helping to maintain exceptional service levels and ensuring regulatory compliance across every stage of the client journey.
Key Responsibilities
Mortgage & Protection Administration
• Liaise with lenders, providers, clients and solicitors to progress applications through to completion
• Ensure all required documentation is obtained and filed correctly in line with FCA requirements
• Maintain review dates and update client files accordingly
Client Data Management
• Maintain and update client records in the CRM system
• Verify Anti Money Laundering documentation and disclosure paperwork
• Upload and categorise all documents, correspondence, and policies into the system
• Obtain illustrations, application forms, and product documentation
• Draft and prepare suitability reports for adviser review
• Respond to requests from advisers, clients, and providers in a timely and professional manner
New Business Processing
• Submit applications to providers and monitor their progress
• Keep advisers informed of application statuses and outstanding requirements
Additional Duties
• Answering calls and assisting with front-of-house responsibilities
• Other administrative tasks as delegated by your line manager
Consumer Duty
You will be expected to uphold the FCA\’s Consumer Duty principles in everything you do. This includes ensuring clients are fully informed, receive fair value, have access to fit-for-purpose services, and are supported throughout their experience with Radiant. Training will be provided to ensure your knowledge remains current.
What We’re Looking For
Knowledge & Expertise
• Strong administrative skills and keen attention to detail
• Good understanding of mortgage and protection processes
• Familiarity with FCA regulatory requirements and client documentation standards
Experience & Qualifications
• Previous experience in a mortgage, financial planning, or IFA environment is desirable
• Comfortable using CRM systems and document management platforms
• CeMAP or similar qualifications would be an advantage but not essential
Skills & Personal Attributes
• Organised and methodical with excellent time management
• Clear communicator, both written and verbal
• Confident dealing with clients, advisers, and providers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
