An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our experienced administration team. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable and who also has a passion for helping and supporting patients. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently, can be flexible with their working pattern and has excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job:
- The role involves daily face-to-face and telephone contact with patients, carers and visitors, working within our friendly Care Navigator/ Administrations team.
- Our key aim is to enable patients to interact with the Right Person for the Right Reason at the Right Time.
- The hours will be 20 hours per week over 3 days and will include 8am starts and 6.30pm finishes.
About us:
We are a long standing, busy surgery based across two sites. We currently have around 22000 patients. We have a large student population based at the Nottingham Trent University and a smaller diverse population at our Radford site.
Job responsibilities:
- You will be required to respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and visitors efficiently and courteously.
- To ensure that telephones are answered promptly and politely at all times.
- To assist patients in using the practice online consultation system.
- To receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the most appropriate service or healthcare professional. This may be via the online consultation system, face to face or via telephone.
- To prioritise calls/patient requests according to urgency.
- To deal with any prescription requests promptly, ensuring at all times that patient details are correct.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Experience: Experience of administration duties. Previous experience working in General Practice. Experience of dealing with patients. Experience of working with a clinical system such as EMIS or SystemOne.
