We’re looking for kind, caring, and dependable individuals to join our friendly team and help older people live independently in their own homes. No previous care experience? No problem! You’ll receive full, paid training and ongoing support to help you build a rewarding career in care.
Your Role
- Supporting clients to enjoy outings, such as afternoon tea at M&S café or a trip to Whitby for fish and chips
- Helping with personal care and daily routines
- Providing medication support
- Assisting with mobility needs, including safe manual handling, movement, and transfers
- Carrying shopping or household items when needed
- Kneeling or supporting yourself in low positions for periods when assisting clients
- Helping with errands, attending appointments, and community activities
- Helping with cooking and cleaning
- Promoting independence, dignity, and comfort in every visit
What You’ll Get
- £13.25/hour weekdays | £14.25/hour weekends
- Paid travel time between visits (£13.25/hour)
- Mileage allowance: 40p per mile
- Morning shifts from 7am, Evening shifts till 10pm, including alternate weekends.

Where You’ll Work
You’ll support clients across York and nearby villages, including: Acomb, Bishopthorpe, Clifton, Copmanthorpe, Dringhouses, Fulford, Haxby, Huntington, Poppleton, Stamford bridge, Wheldrake, Easingwold, Green Hammerton and surrounding areas.
