Radfield Home Care specialises in personalised care for older people in their own homes, operating as a forward-looking, family-run business that sets the standard for what care can do.
We are looking for a team of Live-in Care Professionals who are passionate about caring for people in their community. A great personality and good values are the most important attributes to deliver excellent care. You will need to be over the age of 18, have a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and the right to work in the UK. This role is offered on a self-employed basis.
Care professionals are required to provide evidence that they are fit and safe to work, including proof of relevant training in core care subjects and any additional training assigned. Applicants must hold their own enhanced DBS check and appropriate insurance. Successful candidates will also complete our in-house induction day, tailored to our policies, procedures, and standards of care, before placements begin. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The role requires contact with vulnerable clients and will be subject to enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Live-In Care Professional, you will be living with one of our clients for 2 weeks at a time and will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to enable the client to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own home. Your responsibilities may include:
- Provide personal care and mobility support
- Assist with daily living tasks such as meals, housekeeping, and shopping
- Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Monitor health and report any changes or concerns
- Accompany clients to appointments or activities when needed
- Maintain care records and follow care plans
- Communicate effectively with families and professionals
- Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality standards
- Specialist care, such as support with dementia or end of life care
