I’m currently partnering with a large, established and market-leading organisation as they look to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer into their UK engineering team. This is a company with a strong engineering heritage, an excellent safety culture and significant long-term investment across its operations. The business has built an environment that blends experienced technical leadership with a modern, forward-thinking approach to engineering delivery and improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer who enjoys working on technically varied projects within a fast-paced industrial environment. The role will take ownership of structural engineering activities across multiple projects and operating sites, whilst also requiring a strong appreciation and practical understanding of civil engineering works and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in ensuring engineering designs, standards and specifications are delivered effectively across both new and existing installations.
Key Responsibilities- Leading structural engineering activities across a wide range of industrial projects and infrastructure
- Providing technical oversight on civil engineering aspects associated with project delivery
- Reviewing and managing engineering designs, calculations and technical specifications
- Coordinating and overseeing third-party engineering consultants, contractors and specialist design activities
- Supporting the safe delivery of capital projects from concept through to installation and commissioning
- Working across steel structures, reinforced concrete assets, foundations and associated infrastructure
- Driving improvements in engineering standards, compliance and documentation processes
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams
- Proven experience within a senior Structural Engineering position in heavy industrial, oil & gas or similar regulated sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete design and construction
- A solid understanding of civil engineering principles, infrastructure and associated project activities
- Experience leading external engineering partners and managing third-party design deliverables
- Strong understanding of engineering specifications, standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
