Our client, based in the North London area, is a market leader within the pharmaceutical field and are now looking to recruit a Responsible Person (RPi) to join their business during a crucial phase of growth. About the company you are joining: A well backed business that has seen tremendous revenue growth over the last 2 years (nearly 3x) Benefitting from a fantastic commitment to quality from the SLT – stemming right from the top of the organisation and throughout all departments, there is a clear identity and a strong quality culture. With a rich heritage and a strong presence within their respective industry, they are embarking on a massive growth journey, in which quality will be hugely important and the Responsible Person/RPi will play a pivotal role as the business moves forward. About the role: The Responsible Person (RPi) will be named on the company’s WDA licence and will be responsible for ensuring all processes under Good Distribution Practice (GDP) are maintained. The Responsible Person will support and deputise the Head of Quality in ensuring the provisions of the licence are observed. The key areas of the Responsible Person (RPi) role will involve the following: Maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). Assure the compliance of all activities with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) requirements. Responding to medical information enquiries from healthcare professionals, community pharmacies, patients, and wholesalers. Ensuring the completion of checks for new products; having the appropriate licence, the product is authorised for sale, the commodity code is correct, legal category correct, correct storage conditions and requirements imposed by national law are adhered to. Identifying risks and to take necessary preventive measures pro-actively. The ideal candidate for the Responsible Person role will have the following background: Degree qualified in a Scientific subject area Ideally will also be a Pharmacist. A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Responsible Person and have been named on a WDA licence. We would also ideally want candidates who are also RPi qualified, but would be open to those who aren’t yet fully RPi qualified. Experience working with and under MHRA guidelines – previous auditing experience would be advantageous. Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and commercially driven environment.
