A fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing FMCG business as a Finance Director - acting as the right hand to the CEO in what is a transformative and fast growing point for the business. The business are mid sized and are part of a market leading larger group. Being private equity owned, there is substantial opportunity here to be involved in driving the company towards an event, with realistic progression to a Group CFO position, post this.

We are looking for a hands on, data driven, commercially minded FD who can really partner with the CEO in driving the business forward, balancing financial oversight and rigour with actionable insights. The business operate within the world of FMCG/Distribution/Wholesale, so there are lots of moving parts and you will need to understand the levers to pull to run an efficient and productive business in such an environment - experience in a product based, fast moving sector is essential.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the finance function (FP&A, financial control, reporting)
  • Acting as the deputy to the CEO
  • Partnering with the CEO on strategy, budgets and forecasting
  • Driving finance transformation (systems, process improvement, people)
  • Strengthening the governance, controls and external stakeholder relationships
  • Support and lead on value-creation initiatives

We are looking for:

  • Senior finance leadership experience - this can be as an already established FD or as a no.2 in the function (Head of Finance/Head of Commercial Finance etc).
  • FMCG/Wholesale/Distribution/Multi Channel background
  • Commercial, hands on and strategically minded individual
  • Confident at communicating with senior leaders, private equity and customers
  • Further potential and aspiration to become a CFO
